I arrived at Caserne d'Aboville on April 4, 1966. I too was assigned to the 313th Signal Company. I was a radio-teletype operator, but needed to go into the comm center daily. Our radio rig was parked in the back of the barracks. I loved my time with Detachment A. This picture still looks like home to me! Too bad De Gaulle kicked us out. I ended up doing the rest of my time At Burtonwood, England. I would have been happier to stay in beautiful Poitiers.
